CandiNews Productions is Children's Theatre designed to awaken the creative spirit and imagination through acting, Musical Theater and movement in a safe, non-competitive environment. We’ll work on all aspects of theatre, acting, dancing and music. Our goals for you are to provide you with the opportunity to have fun exploring the creative arts and discovering new talents while you build on those you already have. We also provide Youth Drama and Acting classes.
Candice Newsum holds a B.A. in Speech Communications and Theater Arts from Dillard University and MFA in Acting from the University of Florida where she served as fellowship Theatre Arts professor. Candice has performed all over the world in such places as St. Petersburg, Russia and toured most of Brazil. When she arrived in Los Angeles in 2008 she made guest appearances on ER, Greek, House, BET’S “The Boot” and MTV “From G’s to Gents”. Her most recent work includes guest appearances in ABC’s“The Doctors” and schmoozing with host Bill Engvall on the hit game show ‘Lingo’. Candice is currently a Speech and Theater Arts Teacher at South Cobb High School in Austell, GA and a Special Enrichment Camp Instructor in the City of Decatur GA. You can catch her in performances at Marietta Theatre in the Square.
